| Server: This can either be the name of the computer where the MySQL database is located or it's IP (Internet Protocol) address. This is automatically entered when setting up you system and should rarely, if ever, be changed. Prior to changing, please contact customer service.

| Exam Group: Enter the name of the template group you want to use as a default when creating a new exam.
|
| Cover Group: Enter the name of the template group you want ot use when creating a cover letter.
|
| Message Group: Enter the name of the template group you want to use when entering a new patient message.
|
| SQL Location: This is the location of the program's SQL (structured query language) script files (intregal part of the program). This is automatically entered when setting up you system and should rarely, if ever, be changed. Prior to changing, please contact customer service.

| PaperCharts Location: Select the folder where you want all scanned images to be stored. If you change this location, make sure you copy/move all files from the previous folder to this folder as this is where the program will look for the images.

| Fax Folder: Select the folder you would like to use to temporarily store documents to be faxed. Once the item is faxed, the file(s) will be deleted automatically by the program.

| Graphics Folder: Select the folder where you would like to store images used to imbed into exams.
|
| PaperChart Template: This has be depricated item. An early version of the program was storing scanned documents with in an Acrobat PDF file and this was the Acrobat template file used for a new patient.

| Watermark: Select the graphic file you want to use as a background watermark on prescriptions that are printed. Leave blank if you don't want to use a watermark.

| Import File: Currently this system interfaces with CompuMedic billing program utilizing one of their interface formats (contact customrer service to find out what interface you need). CompuMedic will write to this file when ever demographics for a patient are added or changed, eMedCharts periodically looks to see if this file exists (once every 1 to 5 minutes) and processing the information into eMedCharts.

| Local Area Code: Telephone area code for your office. This information is needed to accommodate the faxing interface to WinFax.

| Fax Server: Name of the computer that is acting as the fax server.
|
| Fax Interval: Indicates how ofter you want the fax server to check for new faxes (every 1000 represents approxiamately 1 second).
|
| Rx Template Nbr: This is the ID number of the template you want to use for prescriptions (faxing or printing).
|
| Image Template Nbr: This is the ID number of the template you want to use to imbed images when faxing and/or printing scanned documents. This template is usually blank or maybe just a header.

| Days Password Expires: Indicates how often (in days) you want your staff to change their password.
|
| Scanned Image Groups: Record the various groups you would like to use to categorize scanned documents. Enter them in the order you would like them to appear (group name can be up to 10 characters in length).

| Lab Groups: Enter the common labs your office orders. This list will be used to populate the drop down list on the Order Labs screen.
|
