This screen is used to record any labs ordered. Access this screen by clicking on the Order Labs button on the toolbar or selecting from the drop down Edit menu. The patient name and current date show in the top two boxes. The office doctor is pre-filled with the default office provider for this patient. If there is more than one doctor in the office and he/she is ordering the lab, select that doctor from the drop down list. Next, select the lab being ordered (you can pick from the drop down list for common labs ordered by your practice, or type in something not in the list). You can then type a short note about this lab. Clicking the Save button will record this on the Lab Orders tab for this patient and will also show up in the Follow Up List report.
